Artist Statement
Film is a very powerful medium that is able to help people understand the world better in a way that many other media can not quite replicate. As a cinematographer, film is my lens on the world. Through my cinematography, I try to capture the small intimate moments that people respond to and feel deeply. Sometimes I find that when I am trying to understand my own emotions, I shoot a film that will help me to express myself.
Going forward with my work, my goal is to tell stories that are not often told, but still have as much a right to be told. Now you might be asking what could that possibly mean? For me, it means that I will give a voice to those who may not have another platform or way to speak. I am planning more documentary work, where I can interview people and let them discuss their experience. For example, I feel drawn to tell the story of people with addiction who lack housing or are living precariously on Boston streets in the South End neighborhood I grew up.

I bring an unusual voice and sensibility to cinematography.
